The President's Charity of Choice 2011
Letter from the President
Greetings,
We are proud to announce that for the second year in a row the President’s Charity of Choice is Habitat for Humanity® Halton.
Thanks to the tremendous support from our Sponsors and Members, the 2010 President’s Gala raised more than $40,000 for Habitat® Halton. By virtue of our contribution, The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board became a Habitat Blue Print Sponsor. At this level, our Members were able to participate as volunteers in Habitat Halton’s Build Days – an extraordinary experience none of us will ever forget!
We are thrilled with our accomplishments to date and have raised the bar for ourselves in 2011. Our goal is to achieve the Platinum Sponsorship level.
As you may know, Habitat for Humanity® Canada is a national non-profit organization working towards a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Its local affiliate in Halton estimates that 1,200 Halton residents become homeless each year due to lack of affordable housing. Habitat® Halton’s mission is to use its knowledge, skills, community relationships, volunteers and other resources to create and promote safe and affordable home ownership options to local families in greatest need.
The Board and its Members are committed to making home ownership possible for more members of our community and to dedicating our resources to organizations such as Habitat ®for Humanity that make this possible.
We invite you be part of this year’s very special event. Help us support Habitat’s efforts in the community by participating as one of our Select Sponsors and join us at this year’s President’s Charity Gala, to be held November 19, 2011, at the Teatro Conference & Event Centre in Milton.
We would love for you to partner with us in this year’s endeavour and help us achieve our goal. A Sponsorship package, highlighting the benefits of being a Sponsor of this exciting event, is enclosed for your perusal.
Yours Truly,
