“Throw me something Mister” is the unofficial call of Mardi Gras! Beads, doubloons and other treats are thrown to a frenzied crowd of revelers that line the streets of N’awlins” every year to watch the parades in celebration of Mardi Gras!
The festival, with floats derived from the depths of the most ingenious imaginations, costumes and masks that express an unending creativity, bold colors and joyous music abounding throughout the city make for a celebration of mythological proportions.
This year, we are inviting you to our own version of Mardi Gras and the “Vieux Carre,” or French Quarter. A night of food, dancing, raffles, games, a live auction and the crowning of the King and Queen of Mardi Gras!!
The President’s Charity Mardi Gras Ball, is the cornerstone of the fund raising efforts for this year’s chosen charity, Home Suite Hope. This shelter based charity is unique in its approach to homelessness and is deeply rooted in our very own community. We believe that not only will HSH greatly benefit from our support, but with our two small organizations working together, we could make a significant impact on the lives of our fellow community members by helping to reduce the number of homeless families in Halton.
We invite you to help us support Home Suite Hope by participating as one of our Sponsors “Krewes” as well as joining us in our Mardi Gras celebration, to be held October 19, 2012, at the Oakville Conference Centre.

Mardi Gras’s slogan is “Laissez les bons temps rouler,” which translated into English is “Let the good times roll”.......right into our version of the “French Quarter”! We’ll see you there, with beads on!
