Biography: For anyone interested in my background and committee work, I am a life-long resident of Milton and work locally as a independent property appraiser valuing residential properties for various lending institutions and other purposes.

In the community I have been involved with a number of organizations including the Milton Jaycees, Rotary Club, Air cadets, Milton BIA, Chamber of Commerce, Milton Santa Claus Parade Committee and various Parents' Councils at local schools that my children have attended.

I was first elected in 1980 as a local councillor for Ward 2 which at the time included all the urban area. I served on a number of local council committees and was elected to Regional Councillor from 1994 to 1997.

In 2006 I was elected to Local and Regional councillor for Wards 2 & 4 and serve on the following committees:

Outline: Drones and real estate? It's coming! Know the law before you fly. Learn about applications and the specific use for real estate. Learn about the insurance and training requirements and questions to ask before you hire a company or person to fly a drone. Following the session a drone and pilot will give an outdoor demonstration!

There will be a live demonstration after the seminar, weather permitting.

Instructor: Bruce McPherson is the President at Pointer Avionics and SkyHunter Ltd. Bruce received his Degree in Electronics from Georgian College in Barrie in 1988 before eventually becoming the Supervising Manager for the automation division of Lake Ontario Steel which was located in Whitby. Seeing a need for new search and rescue technology, Mr. McPherson embarked on developing Canada’s only company with state of the art aircraft emergency beacon technology sometimes known as the ´black box’ . He has significant experience leading certification projects with various authorities around the world including Transport Canada, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the European Aviation Safety Agency. Bruce is also the creator of Flyte Clone, a mobile tracking app used for the general aviation and the unmanned aerial vehicle industry otherwise more commonly known as drones. In the last year , Bruce has directed SkyHunter into the emerging drone markets and now custom builds drones for various markets including search and rescue, forestry, policing,mapping and agriculture.
