Amendments to the REALTOR® Code

A number of amendments to the REALTOR® Code were passed at CREA's AGM this past March. The REALTOR® Code in the Publications section on REALTORLink® has now been updated to reflect those amendments. Print copies of the REALTOR® Code booklet can also be requested from CREA.

The amendments to the REALTOR® Code included:

• Removal of outdated references in the preamble;
• New sections to make it clear that REALTOR® members are responsible for the conduct of those working on their behalf;
• A new Article to address conduct that is unbecoming of a REALTOR® member; and
• A new Interpretation to make it clear REALTOR® members are responsible for the use of CREA’s trademarks by third parties that they are working with.
