Town of Oakville Open House directional sign regulations

OMDREB's Government Relations Committee has been working closely with The Town of Oakville to participate in the consultation process related to revisions to the Sign By-Law, specifically REALTOR® Open House signage and increasing the amount of allowed signs from three (3) to five (5).

The *NEW* Sign By-Law pertaining to real estate directional signs came into effect on January 1, 2019.

Please adhere to the Town of Oakville Open House Sign Regulations that are currently in place, and be aware of the enforcement measures that the Town will take for contravening the By-Law:

In summary,
• REALTORS® are allowed up to FIVE (5) signs per Open House.
• Signage can only be displayed between 9:00am and 9:00pm on the day of your Open House.
• Signage must not block main traffic arteries or be distracting to drivers on the road.
• For Sale signs must be on private property ONLY and must be removed FOURTEEN (14) days after the sale of a property.

Failure to adhere to these regulations can result in additional fees and fines, as noted in the Regulations flyer.
