The 2021 OMDREB AGM, hosted virtually on Wednesday, December 8, brought together OMDREB members, volunteers, Directors, staff, and other industry personnel to review the affairs of the Board over the past year. At the AGM, members approved the minutes of 2020’s Annual General Meeting and accepted OMDREB’s Financial Statements year ending September 30, 2021. Members also appointed the Board Auditor for 2022.

This year’s President’s Charity was Oakville-based Lighthouse For Grieving Children, who received a grand total of $46,000 raised by OMDREB REALTORS® throughout the year.

Members heard from Deirdre Thomas, Executive Director of Lighthouse, who spoke of how this money will assist children who are coping with grieving a lost family member.2022 President Vishal Kapoor announced his President’s Charity would be the Canadian Mental Health Association, Halton Region Branch.
Mr. Kapoor also provided members with a report on what goals OMDREB would like to achieve in 2022.
OMDREB was also happy to host a Town Hall after the conclusion of the meeting, giving members an opportunity to ask questions or make comments about what they had watched and heard during the AGM.
