Oakville, ON, May 2, 2022 – The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB) is pleased to announce that to support ongoing relief efforts in war-stricken Ukraine, OMDREB donated a total of $10,000 on behalf of its members to the Canadian Red Cross through CREA’s REALTORS Care® Foundation.
The money donated by OMDREB members will enable the Red Cross and the Red Crescent Movement to respond to humanitarian needs as well as preparedness and response efforts due to heightened tensions in Ukraine. The Red Cross teams on the ground are providing food, clothing, medical supplies and health care. The support also includes long-term relief, recovery, resiliency, and other critical humanitarian activities as needs arise, both in Ukraine and surrounding countries, including those who have been displaced.
OMDREB has a long history of supporting shelter-based charitable efforts in Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills, and beyond through its own fundraising and as well as the REALTORS Care® Foundation. Our members are known for their desire to give back and helping the most vulnerable through difficult times.
