OMDREB successfully lobbies for Oakville Sign By-Law amendment

OMDREB's Government Relations Committee has been working closely with The Town of Oakville to participate in the consultation process related to revisions to the Sign By-Law, specifically REALTOR® Open House signage and increasing the amount of allowed signs from three (3) to five (5). In addition to continued meetings and submitted reports, OMDREB Representatives and its valued Membership offered a show of support for the proposed Sign By-Law change during the Town Council meeting on December 10. The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board is thrilled to announce that the By-Law amendment has been approved by Oakville Town Council.

November 2018 Market Report

Oakville, ON, December 3, 2018 – According to figures released December 3rd by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales fell in November compared to the same period in 2017. Monthly property sales totalled 534 compared to 623 in November 2017. The number of new property listings is lower than it was in November 2017, 1,033 new listings in November 2017 compared to 932 in 2018.

October 2018 Market Report

According to figures released November 1st by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales decreased slightly in October compared to the same period in 2017. Monthly property sales totaled 598 compared to 638 in October 2017. The number of new property listings is lower than it was in October 2017: 1,217 new listings inOctober 2017 compared to 1,156 in 2018.

According to figures released October 1st by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales rose in September compared to the same period in 2017. Monthly property sales totalled 581 compared to 562 in September 2017. The number of new property listings is lower than it was in September 2017, 1,304 new listings in September 2017 compared to 1,214 in 2018.

OMDREB and TREB Agree To Data Swap

Over the past year, The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board and the Toronto Real Estate Board have been working toward an arrangement that would expand data access for their respective members. After many months of meetings and discussions, we are very pleased to announce that our efforts have resulted in an OMDREB-TREB agreement to swap MLS® data for properties located in the Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville areas, listed by members of either Board.

According to figures released August 1st by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales rose in July compared to the same period in 2017. Monthly property sales totaled 668 compared to 593 in July 2017. The number of new property listings is also higher than it was in July 2017, 1,048 new listings in July 2017 compared to 1,109 in 2018.

When you first log in to Matrix, you’ll notice a new button on the far right of the top bar titled “IntraMatrix”. This is how you can access listing data from the 13 Boards of the Ontario Collective. There is no username or password required to access IntraMatrix! Users simply log in to www.onregional.ca, and select IntraMatrix at the top right of their screen - that’s it, you’re in! As with any new piece of technology, it might take a little bit of getting used to.The first thing to note is that this system will look and feel very different than MATRIX. There are different tabs, statuses, search fields, and layouts.
