REALTORS® 2013 Motorcycle Ride for Charity rolls into Oakville

Oakville, ON, July 8, 2013 – On July 10 and 11, motorcyclists from across the province will be hitting the open road to raise money for homeless shelters and charities across Ontario.

The 2013 Motorcycle Ride for Charity will kick off at the Mississauga Real Estate Board on July 10th and will wrap up in Sault Ste. Marie on July 11th. The riders will be stopping along the way at real estate board offices in Grey-Bruce Owen Sound and Oakville. The two-day 2013 Motorcycle Ride for Charity, organized by the REALTORS® Care Foundation, rolls into Oakville on Wednesday, July 10th at approximately 9:45 a.m.

“The Motorcycle Ride for Charity is a unique example of REALTORS® coming together and supporting all the communities in which we work and live,” said Aziz Kanjee, President of The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board. “OMDREB has a rich history of charitable work since the Board was first established in 1954 and our Members contribute financially as well as volunteer with many local charities throughout Halton Region and the GTA.”

“We are pleased the Charity Ride is stopping in Oakville this year and we look forward to welcoming and supporting our fellow colleagues in their journey,” concluded Kanjee.

The ride has taken place every summer since 2006, with increasing amounts pledged each year. Last year’s ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls raised $31,000. The funds raised go back into communities across Ontario.
