Oakville, ON, December 6, 2016 – According to figures released December 6 by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales increased by 2.83 per cent in November compared to the same period in 2015. Monthly property sales totaled 655 compared to 637 in November 2015.
The number of new property listings saw an increase of 0.36 per cent, from 828 in November 2015 to 831 in 2016.
“We saw positive figures in November,” said Charlotte Forget, President of OMDREB. “The increase in number in sales and property listings is encouraging.”
The dollar volume of all property sales processed through the OMDREB MLS® system saw an increase of 30.62 per cent in November 2016 to $488,007,954 from $373,599,273 in November 2015.
Oakville’s median residential sale price for the month of November was $1,068,925, an increase of 38.46 per cent from $772,000 compared to November 2015. The median sale price in Milton was $645,000, an increase of 14.67 per cent from $562,500 compared to the same time last year.
