Open Houses Not Permitted Under Updated COVID-19 Restrictions

As we head into the new year, the real estate landscape in Oakville, Milton, and surrounding areas will face continued restrictions. Ontario is experiencing a resurgence in COVID-19 cases, and REALTORS® must do their part to minimize the spread of the virus. That includes, among other things, a temporary return to conducting business by virtual processes only.

OMDREB Donates $2,000 To B.C. Flood Relief Efforts

OMDREB REALTORS® Donate $46,000 To Local Charity Supporting Grieving Children

The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB) is pleased to announce that through the organization’s annual fundraising efforts coupled with grants distributed from the Ontario REALTORS® Care Foundation, OMDREB REALTORS® donated a grand total of $46,000 to The Lighthouse for Grieving Children.

According to figures released December 9 by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales reported by OMDREB REALTORS® decreased 5.1 percent for Single Family homes and 12.3 percent for Townhouse/Condo homes compared to this time in 2020.

October 2021 Market Report

According to figures released November 5 by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales reported by OMDREB REALTORS® decreased 29.9 percent for Single Family homes and 24.0 percent for Townhouse/Condo homes compared to the same time in 2020. The total number of new property listings also saw a decrease of 35.9 percent for Single Family homes and 34.3 percent for Townhouse/Condo homes compared to last year. For homes processed through the OMDREB MLS® system, the number of days on market decreased 44.4 percent for Single Family homes and 31.3 percent for Townhouse/Condo homes. Months Supply of Inventory also decreased 64.3 percent for Single Family homes and 61.5 percent for Townhouse/Condo homes.

September 2021 Market Report

According to figures released October 5 by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales reported by OMDREB REALTORS® decreased in September compared to the same period in 2020. Monthly property sales were down by 226, totalling 604 compared to 830 in September 2020. The total number of new property listings also saw a decrease of 361 this year: 787 new listings in September 2021 compared to 1,148 in 2020.

August 2021 Market Report

According to figures released September 8 by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales reported by OMDREB REALTORS® decreased in August compared to the same period in 2020. Monthly property sales were down by 295, totalling 534 compared to 829 in August 2020. The total number of new property listings also saw a decrease of 484 this year: 575 new listings in August 2021 compared to 1,046 in 2020.

July 2021 Market Report

According to figures released August 5 by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales reported by OMDREB REALTORS® decreased in July compared to the same period in 2020. Monthly property sales were down by 289, totalling 609 compared to 898 in July 2020. The total number of new property listings also saw a decrease of 484 this year: 688 new listings in July 2021 compared to 1,172 in 2020.

With Ontario entering Step 3 of the Roadmap to Reopen today which allows for real estate open houses, it remains the number one priority of The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB) to protect the health and safety of our REALTORS® and their clients, as well as our colleagues and communities. OMDREB is happy to provide both REALTORS® and the general public with recommendations and guidance on how an open house should be conducted during Step 3.
