Why did you go into real estate?
Family tradition. My father started Best Realty in Milton in 1957. I became an agent and appraiser in 1985. Have been in sales offices, new homes and constructions sites since I was 7 years old.
What is the hardest part about being a real estate agent/broker
Attempting to find the right property for your buyer.
What is the best piece of advice you can give a newbie agent? (We can potentially use these answers as quote graphics for Instagram and Facebook)
Be persistent and never quit. Best line I ever heard " Successful people do the work that unsuccessful people are not willing to do".
What is the best piece of advice (about being an agent/broker) you’ve ever received?
Get involved in a percentage business! It grows with the market.
What is your motto in business?
Making a difference!
What is an agent’s greatest asset?
Their ability to work with people.
What are some common mistakes Realtors make? What can be done to avoid these in the future?
Not thinking long term with clients and working for their best interest. I have clients that I have been working with for over 30 years and still doing business with them. To avoid this common mistake think of building relationships not just the deal in front of you. Real estate is about lifestyle changes from the first home or business to a larger family home/business and possibly a downsizing or retirement location an agent can be involved in all three stages with many clients.
